...Time To Fly !!!

The Hellcat gets the majority of CFS-2 pilots flying time because flying the Hellcat is easy, it can take damage, has decent speed, a bunch of ammo, & maneuverability able to follow most moves of the Zeros or Georges when they break off on head to heads.

The CFS-2 manual announces the Hellcat best all-round fighter, & warns opponents of it slashing attacks.

However flying the Hellcat is hard to too. It is very easy to control at higher speed & will do anything you ask it to do when that energy is kept up... Once lost it can be a very touchy, & an unforgiving plane to handle. Stalls are hard to predict ...but with a lot of practice, you can keep the stalls to a minimum (remember ALT=ENERGY). You can loop 1 maybe 2 times with a Zero for instance but after that get the heck out of there. When comming into the game have 100% throttle with War emergency power on non-stop. Do not use flaps for turning; the only time to use flaps on this CFS-2 bird will be for landing or if someone is at your six & you try to make them overshoot...

Head to head fly in a slight slip (this is to hopefully make the opponent miss some) either left or right, do not fly with level wings... Start shooting as soon as you feel its reasonable to expect hits, as soon as you have determined your opponents flight path... keep firing until a string of hits are registered, then make an attempt to sharply pull away & try to turn even more quickly to beat the other around in their turn. When opposing pilots that would rather pull a manoeuvre then go straight at you, you must anticipate their move & make an attempt to lead them while they are trying to fly-by you. If they go up & over & you have good speed, follow them up & over in the Hellcat, be sure you are aware of your position as YOU WILL STALL, gambling that you'll get a string in or you will be DEAD!

No plane is undefeatable in this game if you know how to fly it within its limitations & use what it does best versus the opponent's plane faults; defeating a very good flyer in a George if you are a very good flyer in a Wildcat can be done...
